Bid & Tender Management

There are currently numerous opportunities for SME recruitment businesses in both the private and public sectors that can only be accessed following a competitive tender process.

Due to reasons of compliance, quality control and supplier management, many organisations appoint Preferred Suppliers following an onerous and costly procurement exercise. It is a process that many small and medium recruitment businesses have neither the resource nor the expertise to undertake and can therefore miss out on a valuable, measurable income stream.

Marion Richards was established to assist SME recruitment businesses through the tender process. The founder, Richard Marlin  has over twenty years industry experience, which means that they understand the recruitment cycle and process and are up to date with all current legislation affecting the industry. For the last 10 years they have both been in bid / tender management roles while being employed by companies such as Brook Street, Select Appointments, Carlisle Staffing Solutions & Angela Mortimer.

The amount of experience varies from agency to agency, so we have developed a flexible solution to cater for each of our clients. This can be from reviewing their tender submission, providing advice and suggestions for improvements to completing the whole submission.”

SMEs continue to face a number of hurdles when trying to win public sector contracts. A recent report, published by the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVCA), the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), concludes that improving access to government contracts could benefit the wider business community. Chancellor unveiled plans to push 30% of public sector deals through smaller companies within five years.
